Cascade vs ManaBox
Which is better, Cascade or ManaBox?
It depends on how you use your collection. Choose Cascade if you want a web app and a Windows app next to the iOS and Android apps, free sync on every device, live spoiler lists, and an iPhone and iPad app with no ads. Choose ManaBox if you need offline search, prices from Cardmarket and other stores, or an interface in one of its 14 languages. Both apps scan cards, track prices, and build decks for free. In the US, Cascade Premium costs $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year on every store, and ManaBox PRO costs $2.49 a month or $22.99 a year on the App Store.

Move from ManaBox to Cascade
- In ManaBox, open the Collection tab, tap the menu at the top right, and export the collection or a binder as CSV.
- In Cascade, import the file: on the web, open your inventory and choose Import, then ManaBox.
- Check the review list, then import. Foil and etched cards keep their finish. Cards from ManaBox lists (cards that you track but do not own) go into a Cascade list.
Cascade does not save purchase prices, so it does not import that column.
Questions
Is Cascade a good ManaBox alternative?
Yes, if you want a web app and a Windows app next to the iOS and Android apps, free sync on every device, and an iPhone and iPad app with no ads. Like ManaBox, Cascade scans cards and tracks your collection, decks, and prices for free. Stay with ManaBox if you need offline search, prices from Cardmarket and other stores, or an interface in one of its 14 languages. To move, export your collection as CSV in ManaBox and import the file into Cascade.
Can I use ManaBox in a web browser?
No. ManaBox’s FAQ says that ManaBox is developing a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux instead of a web app (as of October 26, 2026). Decks that you share from ManaBox open in a browser. Cascade works in any web browser at cascademtg.com and as a Windows app from the Microsoft Store, and it syncs with the iOS and Android apps for free.
Can I move my ManaBox collection to Cascade?
Yes. Export the collection as CSV in ManaBox and import the file into Cascade. Cascade shows each card before it adds it, and keeps foil and etched finishes.
Does Cascade work offline?
No. Search and scanning need a connection, because Cascade matches scans on its server. Your collection is saved to your account and syncs to every device.
Does Cascade have ads?
No. Cascade has no ads on the web, Windows, iOS, or Android. Optional Cascade Premium pays for the app, and the TCGplayer buy buttons are affiliate links.
Which one costs less?
Both are free to use. In the US, Cascade Premium costs $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year on every store, and ManaBox PRO costs $2.49 a month or $22.99 a year on the App Store (as of October 26, 2026). The paid tiers include different features: for example, sync between devices is free in Cascade and needs PRO in ManaBox.
