What Cascade can import
Cascade reads CSV exports from ManaBox and Archidekt, Cascade CSV files, and pasted text: plain card lists with a quantity and a card name on each line, MTGGoldfish deck lists and EDHREC lists. MTGGoldfish lists go into decks only, and EDHREC lists into Commander and Brawl decks only. A ManaBox or Archidekt CSV file names the exact printing, so the set, the collector number and the language come with it. For a line with a card name only, Cascade takes the newest printing that is not a promo.
Export from ManaBox
- In ManaBox, open the Collection tab.
- Use the menu at the top right to export the collection as a CSV file.
- Save the file on your device.
- In Cascade, choose “Import a file” and pick the file.
To move a ManaBox deck, export it as text in ManaBox, then paste it into a Cascade deck with “Paste a list”. Cards from a ManaBox list (not a binder) can only go into a Cascade list.
Import on the web
- Open your inventory, a deck or a list, and select “Import” or “Import from list”. To make a new deck from a list, select “Import deck” on the Decks page.
- Choose “Import a file” for a CSV file, or “Paste a list” for text. Check that the source names the right app.
- Select “Review cards” and check the cards.
- Select the import button at the bottom to add the cards.
Import in the app
- Open your inventory, a deck or a list, tap the plus button, then tap “Add from list”.
- Tap “Import a file” to pick a CSV file, or “Paste a list” for text.
- Tap “Review cards”, check the cards, then import them.
New accounts can also start an import in the welcome steps of the app, at “Do you have cards in another app?”.
Check the cards before you import
The review shows each card with its set, collector number and finish, the lines that Cascade could not read, and the cards that it will not import. You cannot edit a card on the review: go back and correct the line. For a deck or a list, “Also add to inventory” adds the cards to your collection too. Lines that fail come back, so you can correct them and import them again. Without Premium, maybeboard cards are not imported.
An import adds copies
An import into your inventory or a list adds to the copies that you already have; it never replaces them. If you import the same file twice, you have the cards twice. To start again from nothing, delete your inventory on your account page (“Danger zone”) before you import.
Export from Cascade
On the web, select “Export” on your inventory, a deck or a list. You get plain text, with or without set information, or a Cascade CSV file, to copy or to download.
In the apps, the inventory also exports Deckbox and MTGGoldfish CSV files, and decks Deckbox CSV files. The wishlist and the watchlist have no export.
