Your account

Your Cascade account keeps your collection, decks and lists, and it is the same on the web and in the apps. This guide explains the sign-in methods, your email address and password, confirmation codes, and how to delete your data.

Ways to sign in

Sign in with an email address and a password, or with Apple, Google or Discord. When the email address of your Apple, Google or Discord account already has a Cascade account, the sign-in goes to that account. Otherwise Cascade makes a new account without a password. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email address, Apple gives Cascade a private address, so that sign-in has its own account.

Where to find your account settings

On the web, open your account page from the account menu at the top right. In the apps, tap the account button at the top left of a tab to open Settings.

Change your email address

  1. On the web: on your account page, select “Change email”, enter the new address and your current password, then select “Update email”.
  2. In the app: open Settings and tap “Change email”. Enter the new address and your current password or, for an account without a password, a confirmation code that Cascade emails to your current address.

On the web, “Change email” shows only for accounts with a password: set a password first, or use the app. After the change, Cascade signs you out on your other devices and sends a message to your old address.

Your password

Select “Change password” on your account page or in the app’s Settings. An account that signs in only with Apple, Google or Discord sees “Set password” instead: a password lets you sign in with your email address too. If you forgot your password, select “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen, and Cascade emails you a link. Changing the password signs you out on your other devices.

Confirmation codes

An account without a password confirms important changes with a code instead: changing the email address, deleting the inventory and deleting the account. Cascade emails the code to the account’s address. It works for a short time and for a few tries only; you can ask for a new one. If you get a code that you did not ask for, contact us.

Delete your account

  1. On the web: on your account page, under “Danger zone”, select “Delete account”. Type DELETE, then enter your password or a confirmation code.
  2. In the app: open Settings, tap “Delete account” under “Danger zone”, and confirm with your password or a confirmation code.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. A web subscription stops at once. An App Store or Google Play subscription does not: cancel it in the store first.

What Cascade deletes

Your collection, decks, lists, wishlist, watchlist, playtest games and scenarios, and support messages are deleted, and the links to your shared decks and lists stop working. Cascade keeps the billing records of past subscriptions, without your name or email address, for as long as tax law requires. The privacy policy has the details.

Delete only your inventory

Under “Danger zone”, “Delete inventory” removes every card from your inventory and keeps your decks and lists. It also asks for your password or a confirmation code, and it cannot be undone.
